18 Outstanding Upward Bound Volunteers Clear Invasive Species
This last Saturday we had a group from Upward Bound volunteer their time and sweat, clearing extremely invasive Hale Koa from OUR park. The volunteers spent hours working and learning about Hawaii's ever-growing invasive species problem. Groups like this understand that we are here as protectors of the land and without our constant care the land will die. We are so very grateful for their time and work put into OUR park. Stone by stone we can move a mountain.
The more we give, the more the park gives back. “A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in.”
